Ski paradise

St. Moritz – Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza are synonymous with breath-taking and unforgettable skiing experiences. 60 modern transportation facilities open up on 350 km of snow covered runs at altitudes from 1800 to 3300 meters above sea level. Horse racing on the frozen lake of St.Moritz

On Sundays from 02./9./16. February 2020 the International Horse Races of St. Moritz traditionally take place on the frozen lake of St. Moritz. Just to the White Turf which is known far beyond the borders of the country and has a modern orientation. Since 1907 organized in proven tradition, the White Turf has also in 2017 much spectacular to offer. WHITE TURF is the fascination of the noble thoroughbred horses from all over Europe who roam the flattest racetrack in the world with international jockeys in the colours of first-class racing stables. WHITE TURF is a top-class sport with the most important race of the winter.

Snowpolo St. Moritz

The attractive international polo tournament will once again be held from 25 January to 27 January 2019 and promises to be another spectacular event in a class of its own. Since its beginnings 33 years ago, the world’s most prestigious polo tournament on snow has acquired a significance and a reputation that attracts the world’s best polo players year after year and now attracts over 12,000 spectators.

Winter Hiking

Of course, when everything in the Engadine is covered in deep snow, an even deeper and purer peace returns to our valley. You will notice this at the latest when you perceive each of your steps as a loud “snow crunch”: On up to 150 km of well-maintained winter hiking trails, walkers believe they have been transported into a fairy tale.

 

Cross-country ski

In the valley of St. Moritz there is a network of cross-country ski trails with a total length of over 180 km. The area stretches from Maloja – Sils – Silvaplana via St. Moritz to Zuoz. In addition, there is the area to Pontresina and up to the Bernina Pass.

Most of the trails are skated and classic. In St. Moritz Bad and in Pontresina there are night trails. The race track from St. Moritz starts in St. Moritz Bad and then leads to Pontresina.

Ski marathon
Every year on the second Sunday in March, the Engadine Ski Marathon takes place in St. Moritz. A 42 kilometre long marathon distance from Maloja to Zuoz is held. Today more than 13,000 runners take part in the marathon.

 

Olympia Bob Run

The Olympia Bob Run St. Moritz/Celerina is the only remaining natural ice bob track in the world. Not only is it built exclusively of snow and water, but its history is also unique. Numerous European and World Championships as well as 2 Olympic competitions have been decided on the bobsleigh track from St. Moritz to Celerina.

In its long history, the bobsleigh track has also been discovered by other sports as a venue. Every year, athletes from the bobsleigh track skeleton and luge compete on the track. As exclusivity the annual horn sled race and the Bobrun Skating can be added.

Bob-Guest ride

Experience an adventure of a special kind: Take a bobsleigh ride on the 1612 m long ice channel from St. Moritz to Celerina. Our taxi sponsors enable us to use only the most modern and safest four-man bobs. Your sled will be piloted by an experienced bobsleigh pilot and accompanied by a brakeman. On positions 2 and 3 our taxi guests ride along.
A school for beginners is also offered.
